Easy to root and so easy to grow that they are often seen on the sides of highways/freeways giving them the nickname highway ice plant. Large, striking pink purple flowers with pretty green angular leaves that can develop red tips.

- Cuttings are ~ 6-10" in length.

- Cutting may or may not be currently in flower as the flowers are seasonal. But don't worry you'll get you own pretty daisy like flowers in time, after you establish your cuttings.

- Cuttings are cut fresh and are very healthy. I carefully pack your order but a little stress from shipping is normal (for example a leaf falls off or crinkles) and won't effect the health of your cutting. As your plant roots and takes up water any signs of stress should disappear.

🌵 Succulents are living organisms and as such they will vary from each other in size, color... Cuttings may show slight cosmetic blemishes because they are live, growing organism.
These succulents grow with very little care for me but please research your own state and local growing conditions before ordering.


"The succulent evergreen with brilliant blooms has three-sided leaves that form a thick, fleshy green mat. The common ice plant grows six inches to one foot, spreading three feet through an aggressive rooting system. Its bold foliage and warm season color makes it a great choice as a groundcover. The blossoms are showy from early summer into the fall. Use it in sunny gardens, train it to trail down a vertical wall, or plant it in rock gardens or around pools and water features. The common ice plant can also be used in heavily eroded areas to root into the soil as a bank cover. It is an excellent choice for beachfront landscapes because it tolerates salty conditions. Rabbits may eat the plant, so when it is young, place chicken wire for protection. The ice plant is native to the Pacific coastline from Oregon down to Baja California, as well as in Chile and South Africa."

Maintenance:
"This fast-growing, perennial groundcover spreads quickly and requires minimal maintenance. While drought-tolerant, it requires occasional water at least once per month. It needs full sun and good drainage and is easy to propagate. Prune off fleshy stems and re-plant them in amended, well-draining soil. Provide irrigation and they will re-grow in other parts of the landscape. The plant can be walked on and will bear a great deal of human disturbance and foot traffic. It is hardy into the low twenties Fahrenheit."

Ice Plants are easy to handle with bare hands. But if you grow cactus you will want to add a pair of my silicone coated tongs to your order.

Are you a cactus lover but hate getting spines in your hands? The handle is slick metal so spines don't stick where you place your hands on the tongs. I'd still personally wear gloves but with tongs you will definitely get less pokes from your cactus :)

- These soft mini tongs are perfect for getting a good grip on your cactus cuttings without damaging your cuttings. These tongs are great when you need to handle and plant cactus cuttings or small cactus! You can even use them with soft succulents. The silicone coating helps to prevent damage to your cactus. The soft silicone helps you avoid adding punctures or scrapes to your plants. Such scrapes or punctures could introduce disease inside your plant.

Please purchase a heat pack from me if you are shipping in extremely cold weather. You can also have your packages held for pickup at the local post office to keep them off your hot/cold doorstep.

* I ship with USPS First claim mail for small orders (1-2 cuttings) or if you order 3+ cuttings I ship with FAST USPS Priority Mail.
Contact me if you need a rush order. Otherwise I will ship in 3-5 days since I personally hand cut and pack every order.

Unless you request otherwise, I will ship all orders containing plants Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so they don't end up sitting in a post office or postal truck over the weekend.
