“Layer the slices of salami on top of one another on top of your wine glass, with the first layer having the least amount of slices. For example, my first layer only has three pieces of meat that are overlapping one another.”
“Layer the second row of meat in between the three that were laid out before where you will end up with about five pieces of meat overlapping.
The third, fourth, fifth or six layer will continue the same process until you have the desired size of a rose."

- Keep the corks from your wine tasting party. Wine corks are great for crafts later on. Or you can create party games where guest guess how many corks are in a container.

Ordering | Can I request which wine or champagne bottle I will receive?
My little shop offers the most wine bottle customizations! Right now you can use the listing drop down menus to make these customizations:
- Label on or label removed from the bottle
- Cut edges professionally sanded or choose unsanded edges.
- Unsanded edges are best for planters.
- Drainage slit or no drainage slit
- YES drainage slit = I cut a slit into the glass bottle so water can drain after you water your plants. Now your cut wine bottle is a true pot for your succulents.
- Plants do better if excess water can drain from the soil.
- NO drainage slit = a serving dish.
- Order with no drainage slit if you plan on using your serving dish for salsa or other dips.
- Tip: add your own clean cork inside the mouth of the bottle if you want to fill your serving dish right up to the top. I only have upcycled corks so I don't include those for the bottle mouth.
Normally buyers let me select their bottles and the labels for them. I find that buyers receive much nicer bottles if I can choose the bottle versus if I have to find a bottle with a certain characteristic (like red wine & green glass...). Please let me select a nice cut bottle for your order I select bottles for each order based on bottle availability at the time of your order.
Sorry but I can't take custom orders (except for 10+ bottle orders). This is a little mom and pop shop and we focus on quality. I keep our focus on quality, craftsmanship and on time delivery of your order we have decided not to take custom orders. FYI requests for certain varieties of wine or certain glass colors, label colors etc are custom orders.
My eclectic bottle collection is part of the fun! We are being green giving a new life to a bottle that otherwise would have spent nearly 1 million years in a landfill!
Since these are often recycled bottles that come to me from friends, family, restaurants and bars they may show some light wear such as an occasional wine drip on the bottle label. This is part of their charm. But don't worry, I take pride in what I make! These are items I would feel comfortable gifting to my friends and family.
My cut bottles are a handmade piece of art,. As such each bottle will vary in bottle shape, brand, foil/ no foil on bottle neck, bottle wall thickness, glass color... If you order more than one cut bottle they may be similar to each or different. Often the cut bottles are made from amber glass bottles, but not always. I don't use clear glass bottles (except for rare custom orders).

Do the wine bottle planters (pots) come with succulents?
No, you are buying an empty planter with a drainage slit so you don't drown your plants. But don't worry, my bottles are VERY easy to plant. I even a link to a planting video. Grandparents and even children have planted my bottles and say it is FUN and EASY!
Are the cut bottle edges safe?
You can order my cut bottles with sanded or unsanded edges. If you order then with sanded edges then yes the edges are smooth and safe!
My professional equipment and attention to detail is why my bottles have such beautiful safe edges. PLEASE ZOOM IN on the photos and see how beautiful the edges are on my professionally cut bottles!

How should I clean my wine bottle serving tray?
Wine bottle serving trays are hand wash only. Since you are hand washing them I would suggest using the drop down menu to order label off. Label off is the best choice for a wine bottle serving tray since the original wine bottle manufacture didn't create their wine bottle labels thinking that they would be washed and so the labels are not waterproof. You can try adding your own coating to the bottle labels but I don't have any coatings that I recommend.
If you are ordering a wine bottle cut into a planter, then you can order your planter to be wine label on or wine label off.
How to Cut Wine Bottle Lengthwise | Can you cut your own bottles?
So many people have contacted me only after they have spent too much money on various glass cutters and too much time on YouTube videos trying to get the same smooth cuts I provide. Glass cutting is not as easy as a YouTube video makes it look! Many of my customers have tried to cut their own bottles. After many broken bottles or jagged cuts they either give up on their project or contact me. I've made my livelihood cutting glass for more than 5 years now and I can promise you there isn't a cheap and easy way to cut glass bottles. If there was I'd be out of business lol.
It took me 5+ years and many broken bottles but now I can get a smooth and professional cut. To get these great cuts I cut your bottle using professional lapidary equipment. Some of which I inherited from my beloved grandpa Pop pop. Then I use 2 additional machines to help me smoothly sand the cut edges.
I'll write more on this subject for a different article. But trust me you'll spend less money, spend less time and get a better light fixture if you let me cut your bottles for you!
Safety Precautions When Cutting Glass:
Things I learned along the way:
- Glass cutting machinery is dangerous (you can cut off body parts).
- Glass cutting generates dangerous glass dust (think tiny floating pieces of glass that you can breathe in).
- Glass cutting is loud and messy
- Glass is unforgiving and likes to crack, chip etc.
- You need to wear: eye protection, hearing protection and a respirator (for the glass dust)
If my friends could see my now. I'm looking good in my personal protective equipment lol!
